📦 Shipping & Customs

Q: Will my miner be held or confiscated by customs?

A: No. We provide 100% Guaranteed Insured DDP Shipping. We utilize premium DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) channels to cover all Customs Duties and VAT for your miner. If customs holds your package, we reship immediately. You bear absolutely zero risk.

Q: How long does delivery take?

A: We use premium fast express couriers. International delivery typically takes 3-7 business days after dispatch. Please allow an additional 1-2 business days for our mandatory rigorous pre-shipment quality control and testing.

Q: What does DDP mean? How does it protect me?

A: DDP stands for Delivered Duty Paid. It means we cover all import duties, customs taxes, and VAT on your behalf. When your package arrives, you owe nothing extra. No surprise bills, no customs agents calling you, no delays at the border. What you see at checkout is exactly what you pay — total.

Q: Which countries receive full DDP (duty-paid) shipping?

A: We currently offer 100% Insured DDP Shipping to:

USA | Canada | UK | Europe (EU) | Australia
Taiwan | Japan | South Korea | Indonesia
Mexico | Middle East (UAE, Kuwait & more)

For countries not listed, delivery is shipped DAP (Duties at Destination). Contact us before ordering if you are unsure about your country.

Q: I am in Japan or South Korea. Do I need to pay consumption tax?

A: No extra payment required from you. For Japan and South Korea, local consumption tax (JCT 10% / VAT 10%) and shipping insurance are already fully included in the shipping fee shown at checkout. No hidden charges or surprises upon delivery.

Q: I am in Taiwan. What is EZ WAY and do I need it?

A: Yes. Taiwan Customs requires overseas purchases to be declared using the EZ WAY App (易利委) for personal import clearance. Please download the EZ WAY App and register with your Taiwan ID before your order arrives. This is a Taiwan government requirement. If you need assistance, please contact our support team.

Q: I am in Brazil or Latin America. What is CPF/CNPJ?

A: Brazilian customs requires your CPF (individual taxpayer ID) or CNPJ (company taxpayer ID) for all international imports. Please provide your CPF/CNPJ when placing your order so customs clearance proceeds smoothly. Without it, your package may be held at customs.

Q: What happens if my miner is damaged during shipping?

A: Every shipment includes full transit insurance. If your miner arrives damaged, please photograph the damage within 48 hours and contact support@calvinrig.com. We will arrange a replacement or repair at zero cost to you. Do not discard the original packaging as it may be needed for the claim process.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

A: We accept a wide range of payment methods:

Q: How do I pay with USDT (TRC20)?

A: Follow these steps:

1. Add your item to cart and proceed to checkout
2. Select 「USDT (TRC20) Cryptocurrency Transfer」 as your payment method
3. Complete your order — you will receive our USDT wallet address in your order confirmation
4. Send the exact USDT amount to our TRC20 wallet address
5. Email a screenshot of your transaction to support@calvinrig.com with your order number
6. We will confirm payment and begin processing within 1 business day

Q: Can I use multiple discount codes on the same order?

A: Only one store discount code can be applied per order. However, you can stack the PAYWITHCRYPTO store discount (6% off) with the Crypto.com Pay cashback (up to 2.5% CRO back), since the cashback is issued directly by Crypto.com — giving you a combined saving of up to 8.5%.

Q: Can I cancel my order after placing it?

A: You may request cancellation within 12 hours of placing your order, provided it has not yet entered our QC testing process. Contact support@calvinrig.com immediately with your order number. Once a unit has been unboxed and pre-configured, cancellation may not be possible.

Q: I am a beginner. Is it hard to set up the miner?

A: Not at all! Our Premium Edition miners are pre-configured to your settings — firmware updated, your BTC wallet address loaded, two solo mining pools configured. It is virtually "plug-and-play." Every purchase also includes access to our real-human technical support team.

Q: What is the difference between Standard Edition and Premium Edition?

A:

Standard Edition (DIY Setup) — QC-tested and shipped as-is. You configure the firmware, wallet address, and mining pool yourself. Best for experienced users.

Premium Edition (Plug & Play) — We pre-configure everything: firmware, your BTC wallet, two solo mining pools, and hashrate fine-tuning. Just plug in, connect WiFi, and mine. Also unlocks our exclusive local repair network (USA, Germany, HK).

For beginners, we strongly recommend the Premium Edition.

Q: What is Solo Mining? How is it different from Pool Mining?

A:

Pool Mining — You combine hashrate with thousands of miners and receive small, frequent rewards proportional to your contribution.

Solo Mining — You mine independently. If your miner finds a block, you receive the full Bitcoin block reward (~3.125 BTC). Think of it as a lottery where your ticket never expires and you mine 24/7.

Our miners are pre-configured for Solo Mining via CKPool — the most popular solo Bitcoin mining pool.

Q: How much electricity does a mini miner use per day?

A: Approximate daily power consumption by model:

Bitaxe Gamma 601 (1.2TH) — ~15W → ~0.36 kWh/day
Avalon Nano 3S (4TH) — ~35W → ~0.84 kWh/day
NerdOCTAxe Rev3.1 (12TH) — ~200W → ~4.8 kWh/day

Our home miners are designed for low power consumption — far less than most household appliances.

Q: What internet connection do I need?

A: Very little. Our miners connect via WiFi and use minimal bandwidth — less than a smartphone checking email. Any standard home broadband (even 10 Mbps) is more than sufficient. A stable, uninterrupted connection matters more than speed. We do not recommend using VPNs while mining as they can cause pool connectivity issues.

Q: How long until I find my first Bitcoin block?

A: Solo mining is probabilistic — there is no guaranteed timeline. Members of our community have found blocks within days; others mine for months. Q: Can I monitor my miner remotely?

A: Yes! We offer a 24/7 App Monitor service — check your miner's hashrate, uptime, and pool status from your smartphone anytime, anywhere. You will also receive instant alerts if your miner goes offline or drops hashrate. See our Premium Services page for details.

🛡️ Warranty & Returns

Q: What is your repair and warranty policy?

A: We provide limited hardware warranties depending on the product. For our Premium Edition customers, we unlock exclusive local repair network options (USA, Germany, HK), saving you from the high costs and nightmare of shipping broken units back to Asia. Q: Can I return my miner if I change my mind?

A: We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unopened, unused units in original packaging. A 25% restocking fee applies. Pre-configured Premium Edition units cannot be returned once opened as the configuration work has been completed specifically for you. See our full Refund Policy.

Q: How long does a refund take to process?

A: Once we receive and inspect the returned unit, refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. PayPal refunds typically arrive within 3-5 business days; cryptocurrency refunds within 1-2 business days.

Q: Who is Calvin and why should I trust this store?

A: Calvin is a former Senior Relationship Manager at a major bank who entered the Bitcoin space in 2017. Being based in Hong Kong places us at the heart of the global crypto hardware supply chain. Every unit is physically tested and configured at our Yuen Long facility before shipping to you.

Q: Do you dropship? Or do you physically handle every unit?

A: We do not dropship. Every unit passes through our Quality Control facility in Yuen Long, Hong Kong. We physically unbox, power on, stress-test, update firmware, configure settings, and verify hashrate before sealing and shipping to you. This is why our miners arrive ready to mine from day one.
